Fall Bird Walk with Haynes Miller
Nahanton Park offers a mix of woodlands and meadows along the Charles River, along with the Newton City garden plots, making it one of the best birding spots in Newton with almost 200 species reported. We'll be looking for late fall migrants such as Field, Savannah, Lincoln's, and Swamp Sparrows, Indigo Bunting, and Nashville, Blackpoll, Palm, and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Waterproof shoes and binoculars are recommended. Co-sponsored with Newton Conservators.
